Nine Australian International Technical Officials selected for Glasgow 2026World Bowls has released the list of 31 International Technical Officials (ITOs) with nine Australians among the group that will be on the plane to Glasgow in July for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.Those selected have constantly demonstrated the highest of dedication to bowls and will be on hand for one of the biggest global events for the sport.Among those heading to Scotland will be the mother-daughter combination of Laureen and Rhoanna Smith, who hail from Victoria’s Ovens Murray region.The pair have worked together at a plethora of events, including numerous Bowls Premier Leagues, and will now take their expertise to the Northern Hemisphere.Ryan Havercroft joins Laureen as the second member of the team that has previously taken out the honour of Official of the Year at the Bowls Australia (BA) Awards Night.In addition, familiar faces of Sarah Hope, Daryl Rowley, Rodney Bates, Sharon Lynch, Lorraine Dowson and Michael Andersch will be a part of the nine strong that will be in attendance for what promises to be a phenomenal event.BA congratulates each outstanding official selected for Glasgow 2026.
